Hungry for consistency with the help of Hewigo
Consistency has always been the trademark of Panni Miltiadous ever since he came into the trade back in 1993 and started his first shop six years later. Recently he opened his fourth shop in Tranmere on the Wirral to add to his existing three shops – two also on the Wirral and one in North Wales. All are operating under the distinctive Hungry’s name.
Panni has always bought Hewigo and the range in his latest shop, in a new small shopping precinct, is a 3-pan Hewigo Advantage equipped with eye-level computerised temperature controls, automatic twin-pipe filtration, display cabinet fitted with Hewigo’s unique high light/low heat jacketed heat lamps and curved edges to cabinet and counter. The front panels, which Panni has painted red to match the striking red and black décor, are illuminated with multi-programmable LED lighting.
“I have found Hewigo ranges to be extremely reliable, easy to operate and the team at Hewigo have always given me excellent support,” says Panni. “This is very important to me as I am always trying to build consistency into everything we do across all our shops. I have tried hard to ensure that we cook food in such a way that it tastes just as good when people get it home, as it would if they were to eat it immediately after it had been cooked.”
Hungry’s has regular team meetings with staff from all the shops and staff are committed to producing a quality product. “Having equipment, especially the frying range, that I know the team are happy to use and is reliable is very important to that goal,” adds Panni.
